Madame Frigo x Messieurs x Rocio Egio

¡Hola amigos!

Los amigos from Messieurs always invite me to participate in cool projects. Last year we did the Lausanne Lumière Festival together for the Christmas season and this summer we have designed a public fridge in collaboration with Madame Frigo for la Ville de Lausanne.

Ok, let me tell you all about it!

Madame Frigo is a non-profit organization working against food waste. They are based in Switzerland and they have more than 100 community fridges all over the country.

Their goal is to prevent food ending up in the garbage bin, especially the one that we waste at home. And how do they do that? Well, you can call Madame Frigo and install one of their fridges in your own neighborhood. These are run by volunteers, they are accessible to everyone around the clock and anyone can place edible, free food for others to eat and enjoy.

The team from Messieurs contacted la Ville de Lausanne to ask for permission to install the fridge. Finally, L’Atelier Café allowed us to locate it in their courtyard which is on the way for all neighbors around l’Avenue de France.

My job was to design the vinyl stickers that dress the fridge with fun and yummy fruit and veggies. The visual shows summer seasonal foods, so the idea is to change the stickers quarterly to be able to be more engaging and attractive to pedestrians as the food designs change with time.

Amigo, if you live in Lausanne, the fridge is installed at L’Atelier Café and it is open to be used by everyone.

Thanks for reading and have a joyful day amigo!
